5. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds – 50 million+
Playerunknown’s battlegrounds, better known as PUBG, was released for all the major gaming consoles in March 2017 and soon became the best selling game of the year. At the time PUBG has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide making the game the 5th best seller video game ever.
4. Wii Sports – 82.86 million
Wii Sports was released in 2006 for the WII Nintendo Console only. Back in time the title was groundbreaking and helped a lot the Wii console in the gaming console war. Wii Sports is the best seller exclusive title (for one system only) and at today it sold more than 80 million copies.
3. Grand Theft Auto V – 110 million+
Grand Theft Auto V is obviously the best selling title of the GTA franchise and was released with high hopes back in September 2013. By 2018 Grand Theft Auto V was the third game ever to break the 100 million sold copies. As of now the game sold more than 110 million copies and the number is still increasing.
2. Minecraft – 176 million+
Minecraft has been literally a ground breaking game considering that wasn’t a technical marvel such as many other Video Games of today and considering that it was born as a free game. As of today the game has been published on every possible gaming system and it sold more than 176 million copies plus 200 million of free accounts in China only.
1. Tetris – 500 million+
Is there someone out there that doesn’t know or played at least once Tetris? The revolutionary puzzle game first released in 1984 went throughout the years keep selling without many changes at all. When Tetris was released for the Game Boy sold that time only 35 million copies. As of today Tetris sold more than 500 million copies making it the number 1 of the Top 5 Best Selling Games of all the time. Let’s go playing …
